MASTER PLAN: ECOTOURISM AND DEVELOPMENT
Master Plan for the development of a modern multi-apartment residential complex, a recreational and leisure park for residents, and public service facilities within the Oltintepa and Avaykhon mahallas, Mirzo Ulugbek District, Tashkent City. (Total area — 73.5 ga)
Concept
Our master plan proposes an integrated approach aimed at transforming the region into a dynamic centre for tourism, commerce and quality of life. The plan is built around three key directions: tourism and cultural heritage, green infrastructure, and urban development. First, we focus on the tourism and cultural heritage potential of the Ustyurt Plateau. Located within the Kungrad District, the plateau offers unique landscapes, a rich history and diverse natural environments, creating significant potential to attract visitors from Uzbekistan and abroad. Key Project Directions: Cultural Tourism: Showcasing the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage, including ancient caravan routes and archaeological sites, and integrating them into dedicated tourism routes. Adventure Tourism: Taking advantage of Ustyurt’s unique natural landscapes to develop active tourism activities such as jeep tours, safaris, hiking routes, marathons, paragliding and mountaineering. This will help attract new visitors, create employment opportunities and establish Kungrad as an active tourism destination. Ecotourism: Developing hiking and driving routes that allow visitors to explore the natural environment and discover the area’s unique landscapes. Wildlife observation and photography tours will also be promoted. To support this vision, the project proposes the development of tourism infrastructure, including new hotels, campsites and visitor centres, together with improved transport connections and logistics.
